    standard background drawing when status pane is invisible

    Dear all,
    I hided status pane to get more place for my custom cotrols (2 listboxes). application is skinned with standard phone theme. and i meet with strange effect: background theme is not drawn properly, namely, a white rectangle 240x21 px (after gc.Clear(rect)) above CBA is there. but when i make status pane visible, everything is fine, no rectangle, standard skin is drawn good. can anyone give me advice?
    With regards,

    Hi,

    How are you hiding the status pane. I think you need to use this too SwitchLayout(R_AVKON_STATUS_PANE_LAYOUT_EMPTY)

    i don't think this will hide the status pane it will only hide the contents of status pane.

    Basically you can try decreasing the size of your status pane, you can try the following:

    CEikStatusPane* sp = StatusPane();
    sp->SwitchLayoutL(R_AVKON_STATUS_PANE_LAYOUT_SMALL);

    in your Appui class.

    Hi Dmitry,

    My point was to try using Empty Layout, as that way you would notify the system, that you are not using statuspane and dont want that area etc.

    Also there is alternate way to hide status pane. Here it is
