    Open file with MIDlet.platformRequest()

    Is it possible to get a device to open a file on disk using the MIDlet.platformRequest(String url) method?
    for example:
    midlet.platformRequest("file:///path/file.png");

    It will try to install the same as far as the S60 is concerned. on S40 if you will put the jar file then it will be in installed form.
    Thanks with Regards,

    I want to use platformRequest(String url) method of MIDlet but It throws an error when using MIDlet.platformRequest("tel:+123456");
