Lightbulb [moved] for security reason, can not execute the file

I wrote a demo with CarbideC++2.0, and i signed it with Publisher ID(17 capabilites), then i setup it at my 6120c. It can run, but when I access internet(when i call CWebClientEngine::IssueHTTPGetL() just as SDK sample "WebClient" does), i got the error "for security reason, can not execute the file". I add "CAPABILITY NetworkControl NetworkServices" in mmp, and i got the same result.

    Did anyone meet this error?

You seem to have little understanding of Symbian's Platform Security and the role signing has in the entire process. You do not sign applications with the Pubisher ID, you sign them with a Developer Certificate and you have not got an installation error therefore the signing has no problems.

The problems are with the capabilities granted to your application, but simply adding more capabilities to them is not going to help you. You must add capabilities only once you understand why they are needed and to do that you must review your application's design and APIs used.

Carbide.c++ has two dedicated plug-ins to help you analyze the content and the emulator can help you too. Not to mention reading the SDK Documentation, that's priceless. See http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ecurity_issues
