Is Data Execution Prevention (DEP) available for Symbian platform?

The new ArMv6 architecture supports the XN (Execute Never) bit which could be useful for marking a page non-executable. Microsoft uses similar bit (NX-No Execute) to implement Data Execution Prevention (DEP) to safeguard against stack/heap overflow.

Just wondering if Symbian also supports such a thing? If yes, from which release and if no, is there any plan for doing such a feature?

You can try asking this on http://developer.symbian.org - using a highly non-scientific approach I would say that the most recent build target is called ARMV5 in Symbian SDK-s, but that is only a name after all.
