    Getting photo from Image gallery

    Hello,
i need to get path to photos taken with camera.

    I have got few questions.

Is there any system list view which i could call and it would open me some kind of listbox with thumbnails of phtotos and i could choose photo which i want??
I m asking this cuz for example on smartphones there are such a views.

If it is not possible how can i get gallery path.
    I know i can use:
    Code:
    System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos");
but i also want to get directory of photos on memory card where camera saves images.

I would not like to use const path of gallery because i want my application runs on "all" devices.

    Thanks in advance

Well in case s60 devices u can use :
    file:///E:/file.txt

In case of s40 devices im not sure between
    file:///E:/file.txt
    or
    file:///MemoryCard/file.txt

In case of sony devices :

    file:///MemoryCard/file.txt

Hi, to get files from memo card, you need jsr-75 for it. retrieve the file, and as far as thumbs are concern you need to itself display it on canvas.
    Thanks and Regards,
    Manjul.

Well for dynamic path u have to check each folder on memory card recursively till u dont retrieve all the images from each and every folder.
U can start in this way.

Use FilesystemRegistry to get roots of filesystem on device. Later u have to search each folder for Images on memory card or phone memory. coz there is no any technique or method which retrieve the gallery path for each and every device..

    Let me explain some more:
On S60 devices images in gallery are located at E: or C:/Data/Images/.
On S40 devices images in gallery are located at E: or C:/predefgallery/predefphotos/.
On Sony devices images in gallery are located at c: or e:/picture/

    check and reply
    thanks,
