    How to find out whether my app should be silent ?

    I am writing a game, and it plays sounds.
    But how can I know the user sets the profile to be silent and disable my game's sound playing. Otherwise the user will be not happy, I think.

    Hi,

    You can use CRespiritory Api to extract the value for current profile. U can search the number for silent and can check it wheather ur phone is silent or not.

    Code :

    CRepository* cRepository = CRepository::NewLC( KCRUidProfileEngine );
    TInt CurrentProfileId;
    User::LeaveIfError( cRepository->Get( KProEngActiveProfile, CurrentProfileId ) );

    Regards,

    Re: How to find out whether my app should be silent ?

    and next time you could search a bit in our Wiki, it has loads of ready made examples, and the one that would have answered the question is in: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...in_3rd_Edition , though gotta admit that it is strangely named indeed..
