    how to distribute dll on target machine

    hi,
    i am a bit confused with , how to distribute a dll with an application ? Shud i include all in the application package or shud i distribute it separately ?
    I have added the dll project under my main application project in carbid c++.

    You can distribute your dll in separate package or inside one package with your application. As you wish.

    Since your application depends upon the dll. It is best to bundle it with the application only.

    Adding on to that if your dll is gonna be shared across diffrent applications then it should be packaged separatly otherwise it may result in update errors when installed.

    If its a non shared dll then it can be distributed within app package or separatly. Only downside it that you will have to sign two sis files separatly. Hence doubles the cost.
