    Unspecified general OS-related error 0x20 from TRK, manual install works

    Hi, I'm trying to debug an application using the on-device debugger in Carbide.

    The application builds without any problems but TRK always fails with a "Load failed. TRKProtocolPlugin : Failed to launch the application (Installing the application may have failed or dependent libraries may be missing.)" when I try to debug it.

    If I double-click the generated .sisx file it installs without a problem on the phone and works.

    I'm not able to run the Release version either thru TRK.

    I'm using Carbide.c++ 2.0.014 and have the same problem on both a Nokia E61i using the TRK 3.1.2 for S60 3.0.0 and a Nokia E71 using the TRK 3.1.2 for S60 3.1.0

    This is the communication that has been sent between the TRK and Carbide.

    Re: Unspecified general OS-related error 0x20 from TRK, manual install works

    Sometimes enabling the installation UI provides further information. From the Carbide toolbar click on the Debug icon and select Debug Configurations to open the dialog. Click on your TRK launch configuration and go to the Installation tab. Then uncheck the "Do not show installer UI..." option. Then try again and keep an eye on the phone to see if there's any more informative error message.

    Also, Carbide.c++ is up to version 2.1. It's available at developer.symbian.org in the ADT installer. That installer includes 2.0.4 and from the Update Manager inside Carbide you can update to 2.1. It's not possible to update from 2.0 to 2.1 via the Update Manager.

    Dan.
