Finding problem in launching the application on the device.

    Hi

I have developed an application which is running fine on the emulator but when I tried to install it on the device, the application gets installed but its not opening. Can you suggest what might be the possible reasons.

I would suggest that it crashes on start-up, thus check the panic code for it: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ded_panic_code

if you don't get any error's, then do try out my Y-Tasks::Crash monitor it always catches all process exit codes, even the normal exits.

Debug it. Put a breakpoint into the appUi, and move it down. You will eventually find the crash!

sinc eit would require on-device-debugging, or adding file-logging into it, I would still think that getting the panic code would be best to do first, since it might solve the whole thing without doing anything else really..

    Hi yucca,
but: ODD is MUCH faster than Simulator - even on my pretty fast 2x2.6GhZ workstation...

Plus the simulator behaves completely different than the device often!

    All the best
