Series 40: Persistent Storage Limit per Midlet Suite?

For the Series 40 J2ME environment, is there a limit to the amount of data that can be stored persistently by a single midlet suite? If so, what is this limit? Also, what is the global limit?

Do these limit vary by the particular Series 40 model?

    Where are these limits documented?

    Hello,

There isn't any limitation for a single MIDlet suite to use the RMS (Record Managerment System). For all series 40 phones excpet Nokia 6800, the total RMS space is 20KB. For Nokia 6800, it's 1MB because the phone has an email MIDlet and all the received emails will be stored in the RMS.

    Regards,
    Kui

    Hi,

I wonder what is the largest single record store we could have for the Series 60 phones?

Is there a document that correctly document the persistent RMS record store memory for all the Java Phones available from Nokia?

    THanks.

    .y.
