    MP3 Player 3rd Edition

    Hi All,

I want to know is it possible to track if the user switch on/off the MP3 player, or the total time the user is using the MP3 Player in the handset. All the details regarding the MP3 Player, if the player is present in the handset.
How to do that, can anyone help me?

    Regards,
    Santu

Ya, thats true. Is it possible to track the switch off/switch on time of the MP3 player? If then how to do that? Whenever the user switch on the MP3 player it should notify me and same in case of switch off also. Can you tell how to do that?

when it is started it takes foreground, which you can catch, and also you can catch the process exit.

For this i have to monitor two things, one the foreground and the the process also. So i think if we have something to check whether the MP3 Player is running or not, we can monitor that only. So can you tell me is there any API to check whether the user is using MP3 Player or not?

believe me that it is easier to monitor two things in this case, if you would just o monitoring if the process is on, you would need to do it with timer polling..

As the application is not really part of the OS, it can vary, anyway, try out my Y-Tasks, it has plug-in which you can list all processes and get information on them, so you could check from your devices the necessary infromation for identifying the player..

But i want it through my application. My application will detect whether MP3 player is running or not. Example will be very helpful.

Ok, first thing you should learn , is that the best way on getting information is Searching, and one of the good places to search from is our Wiki, so next time do try out a bit of personal searching, anyway here's couple of links to get you started:

    hi all,

    i have some queries

    1) is it possible to exit the app (music player /Fm / Cam) using the Process ID in s60 3rd edition

    2) is it possible to implement (exiting music player /Fm / Cam) in S60 2nd edition phones coz Y-Task only runs in s60 3rd edition phones.

I don't see these question to be related to the original thread, so I would suggest you to open a new thread and ask your question in it, it is considered rude to hijack other threads with unrelated questions.
