    Question On-Device Debug with Carbide doesn't display enough info. TRK / GDB?

    Hi,

    i m using OpenC on Nokia 5800 and my app runs very well under Emulator. However, it crashes on target platform both rel and debug build.
    I use TRK with Carbide for debugging. However, in many points I cannot see data information which supposed to be displayed detail e.g. "this" obj contains no info about its members at all but its address only or output from some wrapper classes are not shown their content info.

    My questions are:
    - is there any setting to optimize the debugger to display the debug info other than GCCE config?
    - could some one give me any info on using gcce on-device for symbian? I googled but the result was not positive. is it possible on S60?

    My GCCE debug configs are:
    ========================
    DEBUG_OPTIMISATION=
    DEBUG_OPTION=-g3
    DEBUG_FORMAT=-gdwarf-2

    I would be so grateful for any answer.

    pt.

    Although it is not an answer to your questions, when you face crashes, you can get the error messages on the device: http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...ded_panic_code

    the problem is i dont get any variable's values.

    I am thinking of using GDB for debugging but I don't have enough info how to do that. I saw some guys mentioned this in Symbian 6.x and Symbian 8.x but no detail on how.
