    Unhappy Using the GPS

    Hi,
    I want to use the internal GPS of my N95 for my own app.
    I'm a beginner in programming python on S60...

    My problem is the following, when I call the function positioning.modules() I get an error:

    >>> positioning.default_module()
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "<console>", line 1, in ?
    File "c:\resource\positioning.py", line 77, in default_module
    return _get_pos_serv().default_module()
    SymbianError: [Errno -46] KErrPermissionDenied

    What can I do?
    I'm reading in these forum that I have to sign my app, but I havn't a sis atm. I'm only testing and want to develop .py files for running in the interactive console.

    I hope you can help.

    Thx Paul

    Then your Python script shell must be signed. Doing it using Open signed online would be enough and easy!

    You need to download another unsigned testrange UID script shell from sourceforge and sign it with location capability!

    Like for 1.4.5 you need to download this,
    http://sourceforge.net/projects/pys6...e.SIS/download
