How to communicate with a web database to read/write data from/to database.

    Dear Friends

I have developed a Symbian C++ mobile application for both S60 2nd edition and 3rd edition phones. It works properly.

in order to sell my product, I have to do one more thing. I am beginner in web development. So please help me How to do following?

<1> After installing it to phone, when i start first time, it will ask to enter registration key.(I can do this)
<2> Then, it should communicate with a web database using GPRS to verify whether the registration key that is entered by user is correct or not.

My question is how to do <2>?
    >> what should I do in my symbian C++ mobile application?
    >> what should I do in the website?

    Thanks

Re: How to communicate with a web database to read/write data from/to database.

Have you really tried checking the available resources prior to posing this question?
If you need documentation of something, you can always try checking the documentation section on this site (it is part of Tools, Docs & Code).
If you need something about Symbian C++, you may consider selecting that technology on the Documentation page.
Since you are interested in networking technologies, do not forget clicking on Networking when you get the opportunity.
Web servers communicate via HTTP protocols, but you can also use sockets. You will find examples for both of them, even for older SDK-s, like S60 2nd edition or Series 80 ones.

    H..

    Thanks for your reply..
Send me a link for suitable example for both S60 2nd and S60 3rd.

I will not do that, and hopefully others will not do that neither.

    Follow the description.
I repeat it in a shorter form: click on "Tools, Docs & Code" above, click on "Documentation", select "Symbian C++" from the dropdown list. Click on "Networking". Get the HTTP end-to-end and/or the Sockets end-to-end examples.
