    Enter Password in a Password Format

    Hi,
    I developed an application which has Login screen.The password which i enter is in readable format,means when i enter password,first it display like "abcd" and then convert one by one into "*".If I want to set my password as"1234"
    how i do this.

    Please post ur problem with full details. Please mention that which displayable are u taken? is it form or canvas? check the parameter u used at the time of creation of textfield if any ? is it Textfield.password. please reply with details.

    Hi Meghali,

    The problem that you see is because of the highlevel textField which you are using for password entry as a constrain.
    Now if want to allow only numeric keys as password for the application and dont want anyone to see those numbers on the screen while you enter, you may need to develop a custom component for it which take the keypad entry (numbers) in some variable and display * directly for it on the screen so that the user understands that the key is pressed but no one can see the value even for a fraction of a sec on the screen.

    You can also try putting two constrains on your textfield like this:
    NUMERIC & PASSWORD
    this might also give you your needed effect.

    hi if you would have done a bit work around you would have got an answer, you can use password & numeric for input.
