    QT for Carbide

    Hi,

I want to "begin" to switch to QT, I use Carbide.c++ (s60 3rd, 5th ed), I just wonder what I must download (free version ):

    1) Qt SDK for windows
    2) Qt libraries 4.5 for windows

if I choose point 1) can I keep the current sdk's for S60 or all will be overwritten with the Qt environment ?

    any help, please ....
    thanks,
    Domi.

You have to download and install Qt for S60, instead of Qt SDK for windows. You can follows the followings steps.

1)Download Qt for S60 from Qt.
    2)Follows installation guide.

There's also a new and more in depth Quick Start guide here:
    http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/in...Qt_Quick_Start

You can still use standard Symbian C++ with Carbide.c++ after you've installed the Qt SDK too.

    Hi,

Check out this http://pepper.troll.no/s60prereleases/patches/link where you get the list of the runtime lib required to run Qt on your mobile.

Do you mean that you want to run your Qt application developed for some other platform on to your mobile?

Underlying OS version for both device is different (for N95 and N97), so need to compile it for respective SDKs. Offcourse you can use same source code.
