    telephone module query

    Hi all,
In my python script I am trying to make a call using the following code
    Code:
    telephone.dial(XXX)
I observe that when I run it on phone, a dialog gets generated (Calling... XXX). On the right soft key end call is displayed. When i press the right soft key, the dialog dispappears. But I feel that telephone.hangup() is not getting called. I want that when that right soft key is pressed the hangup function gets called also.

I want to know how i can do it.

    thanks and regards,
    kkc

    Re: telephone module query

telephone.hang_up() just ends the current call, which is what happens when you press the right softkey from what you said. So there's absolutely no need for it to be called explicitly.

    Re: telephone module query

in my experience, .hang_up() still needs to be called because the next .dial() you attempt, Python will throw a runtime error saying a call is still in progress.
haven't tried it, but perhaps a keycapture could help?

    Hi,
You are correct. When I am trying to make another call by calling telophone.dial(...) again, python is giving runtime error stating that hangup needs to be called first. In this regard, I have a few questions

    1. When i am calling telephone.dial(...), how is the dialog box getting generated automatically.
    2. How do i call the hangup function when the right soft key or red key is pressed (which dismisses the dialog also)

    thanks and regards,
    kkc
