Sending minimum Headers in HTTP request

To save GPRS bandwidth can I implement something like this in an HTTP request,
I just want to send minimum headers so probably only the Host header I guess should do?

    PHP Code:
    GET /doc HTTP/1.1
    Host
    example.com
    Connection
    close
How could I get the above output in Java ME and will it work reliably?

Re: Sending minimum Headers in HTTP request

Assuming you're using HttpConnection, then the header is controlled by the implementation and you can't choose exactly what's in there. The best you can do is never call setRequestProperty().
