    Configure Qt on s60

    Hi,
    I had installed requirements as below:
    1.Active Perl 5.10
    2.JDK 1.6
    3.Carbide v 2.0
    4.S60_5th Edition
    5.Qt tower 4.5.2

    I had configured carbide for winscw. I had installed s60 sdk, carbide and QT towers in same drive,E:. My envinomental variables is as follows:

    E:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v2.0\jre\bin\client;C:\Perl\site\bin;C:\Perl\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symbian\tools;E:\QT\4.5.2_tower\bin;E:\Program Files\CSL Arm Toolchain\bin;E:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v2.0\jre\bin;E:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v2.0\x86Build\Symbian_Tools\Command_Line_Tools;E:\QT\S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v0.9\epoc32\tools;E:\QT\S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v0.9\epoc32\gcc\bin;

    When i try to configure Qt for s60 from command line using:
    configure -platform win32-mwc -xplatform symbian-abld

    I am getting following error:

    Smile Re: Configure Qt on s60

    hi swetha
    Requirements for the installation are ok..
    1.Active Perl 5.10
    2.JDK 1.6
    3.Carbide v 2.0
    4.S60_5th Edition
    5.Qt tower 4.5.2.exe //Download the EXE file
    But better to go for Qt tower 4.5.2.exe file ....here no need to run any configure command ....you can directly configure the Qt by just simple installation of the EXE file....but do in the same drive were you have installed SDK and PERL and rest of Qt stuff..

    their is two time the perl path return in the enviroment variable that you have shown in your post..and also its in C: and rest of installation you have done in E:....soo i better suggest you to install the active perl in E: drive..

    E:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v2.0\jre\bin\client;C:\Perl\site\bin;C:\Perl\bin;%SystemRoot%\system32;%SystemRoot%;%SystemRoot%\System32\Wbem;C:\Program Files\Common Files\Symbian\tools;E:\QT\4.5.2_tower\bin;E:\Program Files\CSL Arm Toolchain\bin;E:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v2.0\jre\bin;E:\Program Files\Nokia\Carbide.c++ v2.0\x86Build\Symbian_Tools\Command_Line_Tools;E:\QT\S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v0.9\epoc32\tools;E:\QT\S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v0.9\epoc32\gcc\bin;
    Remove all the unwanted version of perl and install any one ....

    hope this will help you ...

    Re: Configure Qt on s60

    Installing Qt for Symbian either by using binary package or by using Qt distribution .zip files does not make any difference. You just need to follows installation guide correctly.

    Also use recommanded version of perl, not latest one, check release note of SDK for recommanded version.

    @savaj : your right....but i have suggested the easiest way to go for Qt for s60 installation instead of messing with the DOS commands...

    @swetha :Go for Active Perl 5.6.1 as this is more stable then the newer version

    Re: Configure Qt on s60

    As you suggested I had installed the perl in the same drive. Even then I am facing the same problem. I tried to configure it from carbide IDE itself, but I am getting lot of errors.i.e. I tried to compile sample code, I am getting an errors like,
    "appinfo.rh" No such file or directory
    The dile "stddef.h" can't be opened
    and soon

    I had configure the carbide to winscw.

    Hi Swetha,

    Check 5th edition SDK as default or not, otherwise set it as default and check once.

    Thanks,
