    To play raw audio data file

    Hi,

    I have one raw audio data file which is of format PCM (16 bit, stereo, signed) and sample rate 11025 HZ. I am able to play this file using some audio player tool. But how can i play this file using "Audio Sample Player" ? It seems audio sample player only supports standard audio file format (e.g, WAV, AU). But in the series 60 SDK it is specified that one can play raw audio data. But in the "CMdaAudioPlayerUtility" class there is no mecanism to set the audio setting properties. I need help in this regard. If anyone has any sample code to play raw audio data file that would be great and appreciable.

    Thanks,
    Pawan

    Re: To play raw audio data file

    Hi all,

    Could you help me assign memory stream to audio player. I need to perform the various functions for this like play, stop etc.
    I found an Api- CMdaAudioOutputStream but not clear as how I could use it.

    Thanx

    .wav file contains only the pcm data in raw format. It will be played by CMdaAudioPlayerUtility api.

    Or u can test it with
    CDocumentHandler* handler = CDocumentHandler::NewL();
    CleanupStack::PushL(handler);
    TFileName descr;

    descr.Append(_L("C:\\a.jpg"));

    TDataType iType;
    handler->OpenFileEmbeddedL(descr,iType);

    CleanupStack::PopAndDestroy();

    It will play the pcm file in its default player.
