    Question Problem with QT Designer (nullpointer)

    Hi, i just installed the whole Development Suite:
    Carbide.C++ (V2.04)
    S60 SDK 5 V1
    QT for Symbian 4.6

    The C++ Development toolchain works fine, so there is no problem. Emulator and Device are working with some Examples and Tutorials for Symbian C++
    Now i want to use the QT Framework for development, but the .UI File opening throws a Nullpointer from the qtcppdesigner plugin.
    Are there some known issues about the versions?
    I read somewhere, that i have to upgrade the Carbide IDE to 2.4 (isnt that what i have?)
    or do i have to install another plugin?

    here is the whole Stacktrace of the exception:
    Code:
    java.lang.NullPointerException

    I have the exactly same problem.

    I have also tried to use qt creator but it is throwing out 100s of include errors when I BUILD ALL. Any help ?

    Well, I solved the Problem, as I found another posting in this forum.
    You should try to register the Plugins again.. there is a batch file somewhere in the folders, which registers the plugin again, this helped me..
    I cannot exactly say where this file was, because, I have the win-system on another computer.. but with the information, what to search, you should find the batch..
    cheers

    Re: Problem with QT Designer (nullpointer)

    Thank you for help, BTW the batch file is located in the following directory:

    C:\Symbian\Tools\ADT_1.0\Carbide.c++\configuration\qt

    Any instruction on using QT Creator 1.3 with GCCE configuration, because when I change compiler to WINSCE it builds and run fine in emulator but when I change it to GCCE to compile it for device, it throws 100s of include errors
