    CEikedwin dynamic settings

    Dear all,

    Kindly help me out in this:

    For the CEikEdwin which i have created i have set the mode to numeric

    Editor ->SetAknEditorAllowedInputModes(EAknEditorNumericInputMode);
    iEditor ->SetAknEditorInputMode(EAknEditorNumericInputMode);

    is it possbile to change the mode after calling construtL to text and vice versa without handling key events manually. (dynamically)

    and i have tried to hide the edit control but the cursor is still active and the key events are still handled by the control (displayed in the screen)..

    iEditor->SetFocusing(EFalse);
    iEditor->MakeVisible(EFalse);

    and if i try

    iEditor->SetCursorVisibilityL(EFalse);

    it throws an error SetCursorVisibilityL is private

    regards
    Charley

    Re: CEikedwin dynamic settings

    i have succeeded in doing this...

    For someone who may have to do this

    SetAknEditorAllowedInputModes(EAknEditorAllInputModes)

    and initially setfoucs should be set to true though it can be swapped later on... if not only numeric mode will work

    Swap the below current input mode method for the differnet input modes present as and when you need

    SetAknEditorCurrentInputMode ()
    this method Updates editor input mode but is not used for setting the initial input mode.

    about the second problem..............

    Though i am able to hide the editor
    Editor->SetFocusing(EFalse);
    iEditor->MakeVisible(EFalse);

    i could not hide the cursor... which is still blinking in the screen

    iEditor->SetCursorVisibilityL(EFalse);

    says private member cannot be accessed....

    cheers
