How to rename a file which was using by another system process ?

    I want to delete a system file in S60 2nd .

I had used CFileMan::Rename or RFs::Rename , it return the same error code KErrInUse .

But I can rename it with X-plore.

    What API should I use?

If the file in question is being used(open) then it would be hard to rename it/delete it. You need to first close that file. I am not sure how the third party browsers do that.

Due to the lack of platform security, X-plore may use any kind of hack, like raw access to the file system. Perhaps lesser magic could be also enough.
