How to play break files in symbian

    Hi all

I am new in this forum.Need guidance from you guys. I am downloading a audio file(.wav format) and I want to play it simultaneously. Now I downloading by breaking the file part by part but when I play those files only the first file gets play and the remaining files shows "format not supported". The similar code works for mp3 format but it is not playing for .wav file.

    Kindly help me in this

    Regards
    Vicky

Although Gunajit9 was not happy about it, you can find a short explanation in http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=183582

If you check the .mp3 format: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mp3#File_structure, it contains a synchronization pattern, that is why it can work. However other formats (and .wav can contain almost anything in fact) do not necessarily have such pattern, thus can not synchronize easily.

I would suggest using the stream API, CMdaAudioOutputStream. Then you could WriteL data as it gets downloaded.
