Question File browsing in j2me (Similar to Symbian "MGFetch")

    Hi,

Is there any Content Handler to browse gallery from j2me applications similar to Symbian's MGFetch?

I want to implement image upload functionality for my application.

I dont know exactly but you can try this

    PHP Code:
    String filePath =  System.getProperty("fileconn.dir.photos");

Question Re: File browsing in j2me (Similar to Symbian "MGFetch")

    Hi,

I know the approach mentioned in this article. http://j2mesamples.blogspot.com/2009...pi-jsr-75.html
    But with this,

    1. I need to find every image located in the folder with FileConnection
    2. Need to check whether it is a image or not
    3. If image, i need to read each image data in bytes
    4. Then need to create an image object with bytes read
    5. Finally, have to create a list with "image thumbnail + image name" for all images

It seems to be a big process. Anyone know simpler method to do this?

    Best Regards,

Question Re: File browsing in j2me (Similar to Symbian "MGFetch")

    Thank You Saurabh,

    I found Content handlers
    com.sonyericsson.filemanager.filebrowser
com.sonyericsson.filemanager.fileselector for data browsing in Sony devices.

I tried with them and able to open required folder on my SonyEricsson device with default File Manager by setting URL - setURL(filePath).
But don't know how can i set my Custom commands in the browser (It always shows the Open and Back commands, i want to replace Open with Select and Once user Selects i should know the file path of Selected Image).

Can anyone give me an example of using these Content Handlers. Please help!!

I think that is device specific and one can't change them nd why you want open and select I think both refer to same meaning to access that given folder
