    Question Getting Thumbnail image

    Hi,
    I am trying to get all the thumbnail image file name in array.
    I have seen this link reg that..

    http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...60_3rd_Edition
    But They are giving Image Name also to get the thumbnail image.

    _LIT(KImageName,"some_picture.jpg*");

    Is it possible to get all the thumbnail images name onlythat are in the phone memory in a array?

    AFAIK, there is no ready made API for this purpose.

    That's very useful info guys. You tried what, and what's the problem?

    According to the article, thumbnails are created for all images ever displayed by the Gallery or Photos application, in a directory such as <DRIVE>:\ Data \ Images \ <YearMonth> \ _PAlbTN \ <R1XR2> \

    To get those thumbnail files (if any exist) all that is needed is for these directories to be located and then use the file management APIs to enumerate all files. A piece of cake.

    The code provided in the article also suggests that it can do exactly what is requested here, if one replaces
    Code:
    _LIT(KImageName,"some_picture.jpg*");
    with
    Code:
    _LIT(KImageName,"*.*");
    . Is there a problem with that? If the code snippet doesn't really work it must be really close to do so anyway so ... fix it.

    Re: Getting Thumbnail image

    Hi,
    IF i give like this,
    _LIT( KImagesPath, "C:\\Data\\Images\\" );
    _LIT(KImageName,"*");

    Then it will retrieve all types of files.
    I want to retrieve only thumbnail images that are created inside all _PAlbTN FOLDERS.
    How to do that?

    One option would be to read that code,understand how it works and then modify it or your input parameters to get the result you want.
