How

I need to create a GUI for my search engine (for nokia S60 series mobile ).

In my GUI, I need the user to enter some word, select some fields from dialog box ( for example time form last day, last week , etc )

So how can i do this ????

Is there any other option to do this rather than using Canvas ??

making GUI in flash lite and integrating it with python will work ????

    Thank you

    Re: How

Maybe you can use the dialog functions from the appuifw module (presented here).

As for combining Flash Lite GUI and Python, I don't think that's currently possible (I'm not sure though).

Your question sent me to last year, when I was starting to program in PyS60. At that time, I was thinking using PC patterns and that was my problem. Since I started to think using Mobile patterns I could see some solutions.

You can, for instance, to create a list with double line raws. This way, one line can be used to name a parameter and the other line to show the value. Pressing select may show some query or dialog for get some input from user, for instance. An ascii art below:

    Code:
    +-------------------+
App Title
    +-------------------+
last day:
    | 12 | <--- press and a dialog will be displayed to setup
    +-------------------+ this parameter
last week:
2
    +-------------------+
Your name:
Bond, James
    +-------------------+
Menu Exit
    +-------------------+
