    Pulsar Beginner

    Hi:
I am trying to set up and learn how to develop on Eclipse Pulsar for S60. I have managed to create my package and install the template midlet application Hello World and Display Manager Templates.

My problem is that for both those templates, when I try to run as Emulated Java ME Midlet, I get the error message "Symbian SDK Error", Failed to initialize session. Caught exception: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

Can someone give me a clue as to what is causing this and how to fix? My installation is on a clean Win XP virtual machine with Pulsar for Mobile Java Developers Build 20090920-1017

    Thanks

    Re: Pulsar Beginner

I wonder if it is the Virtual Machine. I am using Pulsar in an XP Pro SP3 guest on Kubuntu 10.10 Linux host. I had the same problem.

To fix the problem I opened the project's Application Descriptor, added the S60Emulator and removed the S60Device. Problem solved.
