    Question Thawte signing

    Hi,
I'm facing a big problem with a Thawte certificate. The signed application works on Nokia Series 40, but when installing on Symbian devices, after downloading the JAR file I get an "Unable to install" message. I tried every tip I could find, nothing seems to work. Thawte confirms the certificate is correctly installed in the keystore.
    Anyone could help?

hey please check your device time because system time should be proper and check that certificate available on phone or not.

Those were the first things to check from other hundred of tips. How can I get in contact with someone from Nokia in this regard?

If you gone through this list already, then you should contact Nokia’s paid technical support for everyone …

    Re: Thawte signing

I checked the application against the list before.
Regarding the paid support I have to say it's a little expensive to pay 300Euro+VAT+unknown reduced price case ticket for a question.
    Thanks for your help.

Yep.. may be you have tried this too.. but mentioning this too which did not exist in http://developer.sonyericsson.com/co...y/thread/42239 is

Make sure you have the Thawte root certificate installed on the phone and also
    1. configuring the installed certificate to be allowed to install such signed applications and not to contact the server for validity.

    2. Other approach is contact thawte directly and see if they can help you. They do have good support people.

What about asking your question in a bit more detail like posting your JAD or at least mention your tested devices?

    Can I contact you privately?

I've tried the tips from the link provided.
    1. configured
    2. contacted Thawte by email and chat, the support team is very kind, but from their point of view the certificate is installed OK, asked us to contact Nokia

    Just found this one: http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...=123626&page=2
It seems I'm not alone with this problem.
