    Checking network status in Qt

We have an application that runs (currently on iPhone) thus:
-- Attempt HTTP connection to server and transfer application data
-- If HTTP operation fails, check network status to assure that phone has connectivity to the network
-- If no connectivity, wait awhile (eg, 5 minutes) and try again
-- If connectivity, immediately attempt to connect to backup server

How, under Qt for S60, can I test to see if there is network connectivity?

Qt Mobility project and bearer mgmt API might help you, see http://qt.nokia.com/developer/new-qt-apis

Yeah, Bearer Management appears to contain the interfaces I want, thanks! Once I get some other details worked out I'll be back to ask how one goes about upgrading to that level of code.
