    TV out resolution

Is there any way to change the resolution of the TV output using the API plugin? I'm not able to display anything other than the resolution of my phone...

    Re: TV out resolution

    Nice!

Forgive me if I'm slow, but I wonder a few things about that API.

That looks quite a lot more extensive than this TVout API

    - How do I get access to this API?
    - Is this API also only available on 5th ed. devices?
    - Do all Symbian devices use SHAI TVOut chipsets?

    Thank you!

    Re: TV out resolution

You don't. SHAI (Symbian Hardware Abstraction Interface) is something in the roadmap for Symbian^4 and later and it is intended for device manufacturers, not for application developers. You can learn more at http://developer.symbian.org/wiki/index.php/Prop/SHAI

One should be really careful when browsing through the information provided by the Symbian Foundation, at least from a licensing perspective nothing from what is presented there applies to existing Nokia devices, although at a technical level the info could be useful. In some other cases, like this one, it may look like an useful API, act as an useful API but it proves not to be useful at all.
