    Format of the amr audio

    Hi,
    I need to know the format of the .amr audio file..
    I'm able to capture the PCM audio as a array and store it some file but I want only an audio bits rather than frame header etc.. But i dont know the amr audio frame format to extract the audio bit..pls any one help me to do this, even i searched on the site for frame format of the amr but couldnt find...

    Hi,
    That link helped me lot..
    But I'm unable to know in which mode mobile records the data(there r 8 modes 0 -7)..
    my phone is nokia 6681..How to see ,in which mode the amr audio file has been created..?

    From the link it looks that the mode is shown after the AMR normal header, though i gotta admit that I'm not fully certain of that, so maybe you could verify by checking a AMR file made with your device.
