    Question realtime bluetooth data sharing

    Hi
Is it possible to share data at nearly realtime using bluetooth on pys60? If it is, how?
The data that needs to be shared is a str with max 3 chars, which needs to be transferred from a to b, after which b transfers another str (also max 3 chars) back. I guess rfcomm is fast enough for this, but how could it be done?
The transfer should be done ~15-20 times per second or faster.

You can transfer your data over BT and the performance should be enough for you (20x8x3 = 480bits/s). Please, search at Forum Nokia Wiki for "python bluetooth" for code examples. Some results:

    Re: realtime bluetooth data sharing

I'd like to send files from my E63 to a Windows XP computer. When I try the code from your first link, phone = bt_obex_discover() generates the error (2, 'no such file or directory')

On the PC side, it shows 'connected.' I can send files from the PC to the phone using BT - I go to windows explorer, click on a file, click send to bluetooth device, pick my phone and it sends as a text message.

What do I have to do on the PC side to establish a connection and receive files?

You will need to implement something using, for instance, bluez. I think the project series60-remote has already implemented this stuff.
