clarificartion regarding secure smart card communication

    Dear All,

i am developing a NFC mobile application which read and write data to a smart card. i would like to have clarity regarding secure smart card communication. As per my knowledge we need to Unlock the secure element using nokia Unlock midlet before installing our own applet to secure element. is it right? please add your comments and information regarding the secure element-midlet-smart card communication?

    Thanks in advance

No, you can get a simple ("locked") 6131 or 6212 and use it to read an external smartcard (JavaCard) or Mifare Card. You of course need the keys of the chipcards to access the data.
