    Hello Shahid,

You cannot create files via Javascript. However you can store the data for later use by calling setPrefrenceForKey()

The data will be available as long as the widget is installed.

    Hello

    Thanks for your reply.
Now I am facing a new problem.I have used setPreferenceForKey().

But how much data i.e. size can be stored by using that function.
Are there any limitation of the function?

    Advance thanks

There is no explicit limitations, however it is good to note that it is designed to hold simple textual data.

    Re: WRT application development

    Hi,
    Thanks for your reply.
Actually i am not clear the term "simple textual data".

I also want to know that what type of purpose we can use the setPreferenceForKey() function.

Actually, I am parsing an xml file and i am storing the text of the xml by using setPreferenceForKey(). In the xml file there are items and in each item there are title, description, date and a like url. When the no. of items are increasing then some items are lost from the first sequence.

What is the reason of that??????

    Shahid
