How to deal with the quick disappearance fo emulator?

    Hi,

I installed the S60 3rd Edition FP1 several days ago, but the emulator did not work well. When I ran the examples the FP1 provided with carbide C++ V2.0, the emulator often disappeared immediately just when its starting or showed the words "Phone start-up failed. Contact the retailer." on its panel. what's the matter? Did someone else encounter the problem before? Plz help me.

    hi,

can you paste the last lines of your file of Epocwind.out

start->run and write %temp%\epocwind.out and open in txt format and let us know the last lines of the file to know the error of failing of launch of emulator.

Re: How to deal with the quick disappearance fo emulator?

    Hi,

It seems that the binaries are corrupt, well are you installing on windows xp or vista.. remember vista has some patches to do inorder to make it work.

I hope someone at nokia sdk tools team looks on this post for proper analysis of root cause.
