Example of application packaging with his debug symbols package

    Hi all,

I have followed these instructions for packaging a Qt application for Maemo5:
    http://wiki.maemo.org/Packaging_a_Qt_application

I don't know how to write debian/control and debian/rules files for packaging my application with his debug symbols in a separate package
    Can you help ?

    Thanks!

Re: Example of application packaging with his debug symbols package

In control file it's pretty obvious:
    Code:
    Package: your_package-dbg
    Section: devel
    Priority: extra
    Architecture: any
    Depends: your_package (= ${binary:Version})
    Description: short description
     A long description
    In rules file it's
    Code:
    dh_strip --dbg-package=your_package-dbg
in case you are using CDBS:
    Code:
    DEB_DH_STRIP_ARGS := --dbg-package=your_package-dbg
