    Question Re: Heap Size

I think I miss something, Okay I ask question in different way, not every OEM provide the device Heap size and Jar size supported by the device. So How can we find out the heap size of device programmatically same for the jar also.

If provide the code snippet or any idea it will be helpful to me.

    Question Re: Heap Size

    Hi Ajay,

Thanks Ajay for your replay it helps me a lot, this helps me to calculate the heap size of the device, but is there a way to find out the JAR size supported by device.
The only way I know is that to download the jar file of different size into the device.

Is there any solution for calculating JAR size on device?

    Re: Heap Size

the maximum supported JAR size ? Nope unfortunateluy that cannot be established runtime, also if the app would be bigger than the supported JAR size it obviously woulnd't install hence you wouldn't be able to establish its maximum JAR size programmatically...
You will have to use the manufacturers device information (webpages) or some kind of devices-databasie (like the one from j2me polish)...
