    Smooth transition when calling exe

    Hi!

I haven't been able to convert the camera module into a Python extension (as yet), so for now, I'm just going with calling it using the e32.start_exe() function call. However, when I call the camera, the application takes a couple of seconds to start, and a rather not so smooth start.

Is there any way to start the application smoothly? Something like, running the application in the background and just bring it to the foreground when necessary?

    Thanks
    Kedar

    Hi,

I'm not sure but I really don't think so. At least there is no standard method of doing it, and I haven't seen any extensions that could help.

    Thanks..

So, converting the c code to a pyd file and calling it won't speed up things? Will it make it better, or will there be no difference in the performance at all?

To be honest, I don't know. But since the camera application takes a little time to start anyway I doubt there's anything that can be done. It's just a limitation of the system. Assuming I understood the situation correctly...
