    Re: Android phone compatibility

The application cannot be run on an Android device. The device has its own virtual machince with own byte code format. Whether any of the code you wrote is reusable or not that is an entirely another discussion. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dalvik_virtual_machine for a quick start.

    Re: Android phone compatibility

While the Android device cannot run the same bytecode, the bytecode can be converted to the Dalvik bytecode format needed for Android. You will need to rebuild your application using the Android SDK to do this.

You will also find that Android devices do not have all the CLDC and MIDP library classes, so you will need to provide these.

Check out MicroEmulator for more information. There are other, similar tools.

I can't help you any further with this, you will need to consult the MicroEmulator site and the Android developer site.

    Re: Android phone compatibility

UpOnTek provides a service to convert your JavaME midlet to Android apk. No need to share source code, send Jad/jar, and receive a converted Android app, along with recommendations for optimizations.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

Directly it will not work ,,,you have to convert J2ME jad/ jar fie in to android supported package (APK).

    Use this web : http://www.netmite.com/android/srv/2.0/getapk.php

    Best regards,

    Re: Android phone compatibility

Well, Android supports DVM and J2ME JVM. There must be some tool to convert the bytecode for JVM to DVM compatibility.
    thanks,
