Open C/C++ Application does not Open in Nokia 5800 Express Music device

    Dear Sir,
I have installed S60_5th_Edition_SDK_v1.0 on my PC and also installed s60_open_c_cpp_plug_in_v1_6_en for Open C/C++ applications. Using carbide1.3 IDE i create a simple Hello World application as OpenC application(.exe based). I did all the necessary changes required for an OpenC/C++ application. I Compiled the application and run it on 5th edition Emulator. The application works properly on the emulator. Now i build it for Phone GCCE release, create the Helloworld.sis file and install the sis file on Nokia 5800 ExpressMusic device. The application was installed successively, BUT it did not run i.e. i click on the Helloworld application icon but the application does not open at all.
Can you please help me on this issue.

    Regards,
    Sameer Kamble

I think that OpenC is installed on the 5800 (see below).

OpenC may not be your problem. there are lots of reasons why a app will not run on target but works on emulator, for example you may be missing some required resource files from your pkg file.

This is from forum Nokia -

"On which Nokia devices can I run Open C/C++ software?

Middleware and applications with Open C/C++ engines can be run on all Symbian OS, S60 5.0 devices and Symbian OS, S60 3.x devices. Devices based on Symbian OS, S60 3.2 have the Open C APIs delivered in their firmware, and devices based on Symbian OS, S60 5.0 include the Open C/C++ APIs. The Open C/C++ Plug-in includes Symbian installation files to add or update Open C/C++ 1.6 support on all Symbian OS, S60 5.0 devices and Symbian OS, S60 3.x devices. "

Please check the capability mentioned in the mmp file of your openc library with the capability of the exe in which it will run.
I think there is a need for the capability of dll to be superset of the process in which it will run.
Some how i was able to avoid similar issue which i faced by checking the capabilities mentioned
