svg2svgt -converter for Linux server environment

    Hello,

I need to use Nokia's svg2svgt -converter in Linux server environment, but it doesn't work there because the converter is made for Windows-use only. I have tried to use
and install it with Wine, but it doesn't work either. I would need it so that it could be used from command-line and by another script, so it can't open any
    user-interface windows.

On the installation package there are jar-files that include converter's class-files, but it is almost impossible to use them, because there is no documentation at all.

So, is there a way to use the converter on Linux, from command-line, or is there documentation/API available for the java-version, or is the source-code for the
    jar-files available somewhere?

And finally, I am using the converter in Oulu university's student-project.

This theme has been discussed shortly before at here:

The tools provided with the SDK are for Windows only. If you cannot make them run under Linux ... you have a problem.
There is a 3rd party converter tool advertised by a developer on these forums, see if you can make that one work or discuss with him about improving it according to your needs. See http://discussion.forum.nokia.com/fo...d.php?t=190075

Thank you for you quick reply, but unfortunately I can't use that third-party software you suggested since paying for it isn't an option for me.

But, maybe I should formulate my question differently, to emphasize the java-aspect.

So again, is there somewhere available documentation or source-code for the jar-files of the svg2svgt -converter?

No, AFAIK the tool was published as a standalone product, its components are not documented. There might have been somethign released through the Symbian Foundation but I don't really have high hopes on that.

Out of curiosity I tested SVG Pony under wine, and it did install just fine, but you could only run it with a registration key. Also it seemed unable save the places list, but the conversion seemed to work when running under wine.

Of course I have my own native linux version that does work. If you buy it, I promise to tell how to run it from command line as well :-).
