    Web Service exception, image size too big

    Hi, i have a problem with web service. I created a web service where I inserted a string. This string represents a image. If this image is over 1MB, when i call operation.invoke(...) the results is this exception:

    javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: Could not encode request
    at com.sun.j2mews.xml.rpc.SOAPEncoder.encode(SOAPEncoder.java:78)
    at com.sun.j2mews.xml.rpc.OperationImpl.invoke(), bci=38

    There is some solution for this problem!?

    Re: Web Service exception, image size too big

    Hi, my problem is this:
    I've created a web service with JSR172 to send an image which converts the stream of bytes of the image into a string so to perform the transfer. Then the image is converted again and saved in the proper format. This method works pretty well when the images are below the 1 megabyte. When I call the operation.invoke(...) in the class stub,
    ...
    javax.microedition.xml.rpc.Operation op = Operation.newInstance(_qname_getDataStructuresXML, _type_getDataStructuresXML, _type_getDataStructuresXMLResponse);
    _prepOperation(op);
    op.setProperty(Operation.SOAPACTION_URI_PROPERTY, "");
    Object resultObj = null;
    try {
    resultObj = op.invoke(inputObject);
    } catch (JAXRPCException e) {

    return null;
    }

    the results is an exception:

    javax.xml.rpc.JAXRPCException: Could not encode request
    at com.sun.j2mews.xml.rpc.SOAPEncoder.encode(SOAPEncoder.java:78)
    at com.sun.j2mews.xml.rpc.OperationImpl.invoke(), bci=38

    Otherwise, if the image is less 1Mbyte, it tranferred correctly, as said.

    Thanks

    Daniele
