    can't run example with cell ID on 5800 XM

    Hello, I'm trying to run this example http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph..._cell_location on my Nokia 5800 XM, In www.symbiansigned.com I used Open Signed Online to sign my application, but I still can't run it. Is it possible to run this example on Nokia 5800 XM ?

    Then I run example on my phone, I get this error on my screen:
    Traceback (most recent call last):
    File "launcher.py", line 43, in <module>
    execfile('default.py', default_namespace)
    File "default.py", line 4, in <module>
    mcc, mnc, lac, cellid = location.gsm_location()

    hello ceptad

    that code works good, i am not sure but i feel the error message you have showed is not complete.

    Anyways keep these thing in mind, as mentioned in the article if you are using a sis file please make sure that it is signed with Location, ReadDeviceData and ReadUserData , apart from that you need to mention these whenever you are making your sis file.

    Regards,

    make sure that it is signed with Location, ReadDeviceData and ReadUserData
    How to be shure ? when I create my sis package i send it to www.symbiansigned.com using Open Signed Online option to sign my application. There are no options to select or mark that I need Location, ReadDeviceData and ReadUserData availability ... can you tell me how do you sign your applications without publisherID or can you give me link which says how to add Location, ReadDeviceData and ReadUserData functionality?

    Steps that i do;

    I create my info.py file
    import location

    mcc, mnc, lac, cellid = location.gsm_location()

    print "Mobile Country Code:", mcc
    print "Mobile Network Code:", mnc
    print "Location Area Code:", lac
    print "Cell ID:", cellid
    Then I use PythonForS60 1.9.7
    I think my problem is that I don’t add additional options

    This is how i create my sis package. Then i send it to the www.symbiansigned.com
    Then i get signed package, I install it to my nokia 5800 XM. I launch my application and get this result.

    and get this result

    hello ceptad

    you dont need to select the caps in symbiansign. Symbiansign automatically do that for you.

    Now the mistake i think is you need to mention your capabilities when you are making a sis using ensymble.

    please go through the ensymble help section that will guide you how you can do that.

    Regards,
