unable to install constrained by certificate

While installing a file which was signed by https://www.symbiansigned.com/app/pa...ignedOnline.do
The phone shows "Unable to install. Constrained by certificate"

The application was signed for the phone's IMEI

Could you please help me solve this puzzle, what could be wrong with the app?

Welcome to forum nokia discussion board.
There is no problem with app but you gave different IMEI number then you are using your device. so Please check your IMEI no.

Symbian Signed developer certificate constrains device IMEIs, SIDs, VIDs. This specific error message is shown in certain cases such as attempting to install package on a device with different IMEI.

Re: unable to install constrained by certificate

As the previous poster said, your IMEI is wrong.
To verify the imei on the device type *#06# into the dialer and make a note of the number
Use DevCertList - http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph...s_in_a_DevCert to list the IMEI's in the devcert to verify that the IMEI number is actually in the list.

In almost all cases I have come across this is a result of transposing one of the IMEI digits which devcert list will pick up as the checksum in the IMEI will fail to match
