    ?How to specify the main class when jme app is launched.

    Greetings!

    i have a JME app which contains FIVE(5) classes. When i launch the app in my device ( Nokia 1680 ), the FIVE(5) classes are listed, and i have to choose the main class manually. The screen of my device looks something like this:

    *** NOKIA ****
    * MainClass__*
    * Class1_____*
    * Class2_____*
    * Class3_____*
    *____________*
    **************

    I have to choose the MainClass option to launch the real menu of my app.

    Is there any way the main class to be launched automatically when the app starts up?

    Thanx in advance, and sorry for my bad english =0)

    In the Manifast and/or your .jad file...
    There is something like Midlet-1 attribute which can be used...
    I'd say have a look at the Developers Library and specifically to the JAD attributes...
    Also you can set that in your IDE's (Netbeand and Eclipse)...
    As a last pointer, havbe a look at Graham's great wiki article : http://wiki.forum.nokia.com/index.ph..._MIDlet_Run%3F

    You can see which mandatory attributes should be within your JAD...

    Oh, do you have a reference for the documentation for NetBeans JAD editor? I've put links for eclipseME and eclipse MTJ in that article, but I don't use NetBeans.

    Talking Re: ?How to specify the main class when jme app is launched.

    Greetings!
    I solved it, in this way:

    ******************
    NetBeans IDE.6.7.1
    ******************
    • Right-click on the project name
    • Select the category "Application Descriptor"
    • Select the "MIDlets" tab. Here i found the FIVE(5) classes as midlets. Then i deleted the "unnecessary" midlets ( they were red-highlighted, the main class was not highlighted)
    • I saved the changes, i compiled my project, i launched my app and that's all : the main midlet is displayed automatically

    Thanx for your kind answers! .... and sorry for my questions, i'm just a walker trying to find my way .... with your help =0)
