    new to mobile java

    hi friends,
    I am new to designing mobile applications using java or j2me. Can anybody please guide or help me, from where and what should i start? or is their any good book for reference??

    You will need:

    * Java Development Kit (JDK). Any version is fine, but don't use a Beta version!

    * Java ME SDK (formerly known as the "Wireless Toolkit" or "WTK".

    There are many other tools, but this is all you need. Nokia provide their own SDKs, but you can develop for Nokia devices (or any other) using only the standard SDKs above.

    There are many, many things to read, and I suggest you read as much as possible. There is Nokia's guide to Getting Started with Mobile Development.
