    Deploy jad/jar files on IIS server

    Hi
    I developed a MIDlet application. Can anybody tell me how to deploy on IIS. Which means where to place the jad and jar file in the IIS and we need to create html file or wml file and where to place these files and how to create a url and access from devices

    You will need to configure the correct MIME types - you can find the details here. Check the IIS documentation for how to configure a MIME type.

    The JAD and JAR can go in any folder that is part of the web share, anywhere where you could put a webpage. Ideally, put them both in the same folder, this makes life simpler. All the device requires is the URL of the JAD file.

    Thanks for your mail. So we need jad, jar file and one wml file. And we need to put all the things on IIS.

    So there is no need of WAP GATEWAY(Nokia Activ Server 2.1). At what purpose we have to use this gateway.

    You don't have to use it. Mobile network operators provide a WAP gateway for customers who need them. The WAP gateway provides an interface between WAP and HTTP, for devices that do not support TCP/IP. It is part of the mobile network.
