    Need to signed the application?

    Hi
I am using following API's in my application.
    javax.microedition.io.Connector.http
    javax.microedition.io.Connector.https
    javax.microedition.io.PushRegistry
    javax.microedition.contactless.ndef.NDEFTagConnection

I am going to deploy my application on device. Can anybody tell me, before that i need to get trusted signature from third party to install the application and accress the application on device.

so what is the purpose of add the attribute MIDlet-Permissions in the jad file.

If yes, then please tell me how to do this procedure if we required third party signature.

    Thanks
    midus

    Hi,

the midlet should work without signing it. You can adjust the behaviour (user interaction for permissions) directly on the phone.

For midlet permissions I recommend the following link MIDP 2.0's Security Architecture

    Hi
Are u sure? did u test the application like deploy the application on device (using OTA method) with out signing the jar. And the jar is downloaded on device.

Because i saw so many sites we need to sign it (either verisign or thwate, etc)

    Thanks

I worked on some midlets with this kind of specification and it worked (series 40) without signing the applications.

Please refer to your previous question. You don't need to post questions twice.
