    how to add png image on form so that it will be displayed on full screen

    Hi Frens,

    I am creating a form and i have taken a png image and appended
    that image on form.
    but by doing so scrollbars are generated so to remove that i have
    used the imageitem class so now the scrollbars are not generated
    but the png image is not displayed properly on full screen.only
    portion of it is displayed.so can anyone please tell me that
    what changes shud i make so that the image will be displayed
    on full screen properly.
    Here is the code-
    Form f1=new Form("test application");
    Image img;
    try {
    img = Image.createImage("/rit.png");
    ImageItem ii = new ImageItem(null, img, ImageItem.CENTER, null);
    f1.append(ii);

    You have very limited control when using a Form. I suggest you use a Canvas instead.

    Hi ritusingh,

    Welcome to the Forum Nokia Developer Boards,
    Yeah if you will append the bigger image on the form, then it willbe auto scroll,that you have to go with if you want to draw the complete image.

    As you had already written that using the ImageItem class it will cut the extra part of the image and hence a portion of the image will only be displayed,
    In case Form is not the must condition for your development, you can use the Canvas.

    what changes shud i make so that the image will be displayed
    on full screen properl
    In any case like then Form or Canvas the image should be preferably equal to the screen sie at the max.
    Thanks with Regards,

    thanks for ur reply...

    I have implemented that using the canvas class by
    using the method of graphics class drawimage()
    but the image is not displayed on full screen
    some portion of it is croped.
    so can anyone please tell me how to solve this.

    Thanx-

    you take a compatible image for compatible screen, i mean for 176*220 resolution u uuse a
    176*220 size of image.

    for full screen use setFullscreenmode(true) in canvas.

    Hello,

    On which device you are working?
    And what are the dimensions of the image that you are drawing on the canvas?
    Thanks with Regards,
